SIM currently manages around 850 projects in more than 40 countries. They answer the question ‘what do you do?’ They are the means for being effective and productive in God’s Kingdom work, they build relationships with partner organizations, and they are the means to sustain our work beyond the stay of SIM personnel.

There are some excellent SIM projects around the world. God is blessing this work. Many aspects of our goals are being addressed, and the capacity of the local church is being built through projects. But the number and scale of projects is growing and outstripping the funds needed to support them.

Some examples of SIM projects:

'In Stitches' ministry in Bolivia

’In Stitches – Sewing Hope for Bolivia’ has been providing supplementary income and Christian fellowship to women in Cochabamba, Bolivia since 1991. Originally known as the Dorcas Group, it was founded by SIMer Michelle Beech. More

Tikempt Ishet health programme

Tikempt Ishet is approximately 560 km southwest of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and is located in a remote area among animistic, settled agriculturalists.

A small health station provides the base for immunization, health education, and potential work in community health and prevention. Community health work holds potential, but until now people have been slow to change.

The health programme has provided a great evangelistic tool and many patients come for spiritual help. More...
