The ‘El Alfarero - Student Centre’ project is committed to supporting the churches of Sucre, by providing a variety of different courses to help train local Christians to better help people in need.

In order to do this, the El Alfarero offers conferences related to the problems that people face. This year, it has offered three conferences, one about Domestic Violence, one titled ´Extreme Love´, related to issues do with love, relationships and sex, and one entitled 'Captivating' related to understanding the hearts of men and women.

There is a weekly course to train biblical counsellors. This course is run by Joanne Langford, who has a Masters in biblical counselling.

There is also another weekly course to train pregnancy crisis counsellors, and a further weekly course for couples to improve their relationship by deepening their communication.
