The cafe, situated in the busy commercial centre of Sucre, is the doorway to the other activities of the project, and the principal means of the project being self-sustaining.
On average, 250 students a night pass through its doors, and take advantage of the cheap and nutritious food, the good music, the table games, the table-tennis and table-football, and above all, the love and acceptance.
The cafe, while being busy, has an atmosphere of peace, and it is a place where friendship and trust with the students can be built up. It has a distinctly Christian atmosphere, though not overpowering, and the evangelism is through friendship rather than pressure. Most of the students who come in to the cafe are not Christians.
