The SIMTC (training course) is an important strategy in SIM Korea for recruiting and training candidates for mission.

We are looking for teachers who can teach English/mission to Korean Christians interested in missionary service. God can use such teachers to prepare Koreans for cross-cultural ministry. Native English speakers are desired for this role.

Opportunities for SIM missionaries
SIMers travelling to their home countries for home assignment via Korea are invited to consider stopping for 1 or 2 weeks to deliver mission lectures. 

Term: 1-2 years preferred, but 6 months or 3 months is possible. Also 1 month or 2 weeks giving lectures is practicable for missionary candidates.

Position: English/Mission Teacher for SIM Training Course

Number of teachers: 2 couples preferred, but not essential (each semester needs 4-5 people).

Required training: Native English speaker preferred; 
Certificate in TESOL or equivalent training preferred;
MA or Diploma in Intercultural studies preferred, but not essential. We will take into account your mission training and experience. 

Ministry activities: The programme will run weekdays 9:00 am to 4:10 pm, 4 days per week, and will include English classes, Bible studies, topical mission lectures with discussions and some electives. 

In addition, there will be a separate English course held in the evenings, 6:30 to 9:00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are hoping to divide these duties among four instructors. 

After the spring term is completed, instructors can opt to remain for our EMT (English Mission Training) Camp from June to July (a four-week duration), which will include classes similar to our yearly terms. Please use contact details below to enquire about the EMT Camp.
