SIM International introduces new leadership team
SIM recently announced the formation of a new leadership team to guide the 2,000-member multinational Mission in its response to the global realities of the 21st century and the new age of mission.
‘Our great opportunities for the future require diversity of leadership,’ says Malcolm McGregor, International Director. ‘We are intentionally provoking ourselves with significant changes. With the formation of this team, we are poised to lead our increasingly multi-faceted mission community.’ The new team members have come together from Nigeria, South Africa, UK, USA and Singapore.
The SIM community comprises workers from more than 40 nationalities, who are sent out by a growing number of sending bases around the world. They serve in nearly 50 countries, where churches they have helped to start, and alongside whom they now serve, reflect the beautiful diversity of the family of God.
SIM’s leadership team mirrors the new reality of the global church and is a small image of the heavenly vision of ‘a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb’ (Revelation 7:9).
The composition of the team reflects the Mission’s commitment to inclusion, affirmation and mutual learning among people from diverse ethnicities and cultures.
