We’ve seen so many advances in manufacturing and technology over the past 100 years. Cars . . . TVs . . . computers and the development of the internet . . . mobile phones and the advent of 'texting'. There have been scores of scientific discoveries and medical miracles.

And in that time SIM has grown from a few pioneers to a family of hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Today more than 1,800 SIMers are making an impact in more than 40 countries in Africa, Asia, and South America.

This worldwide family prays . . . some also give . . . and some go. It’s all in the name of Christ. Everyone plays a part in reaching people whose needs are varied . . . whose cultures are distinct . . . whose identities are unique.

As you can see we’ve devoted our ministry to serving people in personal and practical ways. Our experience has equipped us with a far-reaching perspective on what a hurting world requires—physically and, more importantly, spiritually. We’re as diverse as the people we serve.

So, whatever your gift, you can be involved in showing Christian compassion and sharing the message of Christ around the world.

Encouraging and strengthening 'By Prayer'
In the words of one of our founders, Andrew Murray, 'Everything depends on the faithful exercise of the power of prayer'.

That’s why we rely on the prayers of everyone involved with SIM, both supporters at home and SIMers serving abroad. God’s guidance, protection, and provision are vital to our ministry.

Whether you choose to focus on one area of the world, a specific group of people, or a special missionary family, you can be a part of SIM’s team 'By Prayer'.
