Rehabilitation Worker for Young Men

Are you a man with a heart for the down-and-out? Here is an opportunity for you to help by giving them the Gospel and a way out from underneath their burdens.

Though you will not be working directly with a rehabilitation centre, you will be able to work with young men to bring them through the initial stages of leaving an addiction and help them to reintegrate into their community afterwards. Possible tasks will include discipleship, helping former addicts become involved in a local church, Bible studies, peer counseling, and training for economic change. Addiction is a huge problem in Nairobi and throughout Kenya, and the church community is unprepared to meet this challenge. The impact of your ministry will be felt in the reconciliation of families, the empowerment of former addicts to become contributing members of society who value themselves and others as precious and gifted children of God.
