Here is an opportunity for a missionary couple to disciple the upcoming generation of Nigerian leaders. The intake at Bingham University is the cream of ECWA's young people, and who knows where they will be in 20 years time--government, medical practice, teaching, church leadership? This is a chance to have a real impact on the future of Africa's most populous country right at the forefront of the interface between Islam and Christianity on the continent. Bingham University currently has a student population of 1350, projected to increase to over 6,000 over the next ten years. It has courses in the humanities (including English, accounting, business studies, sociology), science (including computer science, biochemistry, mathematics and statistics) and medicine.
Abuja, the nearest city to Bingham University, is a busy city, literally in the centre of Nigeria geographically, as well as culturally and religiously. It has a well serviced international airport and good availability of goods and services, much moreso than many other Nigerian cities.
This is an exciting opportunity for one or two single missionaries, a couple in their 30's or 40's with children, or perhaps an empty-nester couple who would like to impact lives for the kingdom in their remaining working years.
