HIV/AIDS is the most devastating disease humankind has ever faced. In South Africa there is an epidemic but there are plenty of opportunities for an individual or local communities to prevent it from spreading further. A nurse, worker/facilitator in health care can come alongside local home-based and orphan caregivers with practical help and encouragement. He/she can respond expressing Christ’s love, promoting Christian values with nursing/medical care through established HIV/AIDS community projects that partner with SIM.
