Short-Term Surgeon for Mukinge Hospital

Would you be willing to be used of God to cover for a fellow surgeon in a Zambia hospital for two months? It would give him a much needed two-month break. Will you pray about this?

This is a critical need! Mukinge Hospital is a rural 200-bed referral center in Zambia. Adequate surgical coverage is vital for both patient care and for the ongoing development of the hospital's ministries.

Your primary role would be to oversee and provide inpatient and outpatient surgical services, as well as participate in the general ward coverage and general call schedules. A surgeon coming for a short period of six-eight weeks could provide coverage for the one surgeon on the team to allow him to do an annual leave in November and December. There is also a need for coverage for three to four weeks to allow the surgeon to attend the annual SIM Spiritual Life Retreat held in April.
