As SIM places personnel to serve in Nepal, we want to see God glorified through holistic ministry, strategic partnerships, and personal witness. As we work towards this vision, we strongly value learning local language and culture, ministering in teams, exhibiting Christian values, working with like-minded organizations, capacity building, and working in creative-access platforms.
In terms of numbers, SIM is still small, but what we lack in size, we make up for with passion. Until we can form a core team of SIM workers in Nepal, we will continue to partner with like-minded institutions and partners who work with the passion and heartbeat of SIM.
Tansen Mission Hospital Nursing School is the type of ministry location where one could use medical knowledge to minister to the physically and spiritually needy in Nepal, therefore being a living witness each day. Tansen Hospital's mission is "To minister to the needs of the people of Nepal in the Name and Spirit of Christ and to make Christ known by word and life, thereby strengthening the universal Church in its total ministry."
More than that, as you teach and mentor Nepali nursing students each day, you will be able to be a witness for Christ in the way you show compassion to patients and hopefully, pass on this way of nursing practice to your students along with excellent standards of nursing care.
