Rural areas are the last frontier of pioneer church planting in Paraguay. Many communities still have no gospel witness. SIM Paraguay is looking for dentists who have a passion for the gospel and are looking for ways to minister to human need through an integrated dental evangelism ministry. Opportunities abound for the dental professional's active involvement in a wide range of ministries, including evangelism, youth or adult discipleship, teaching and training and preaching, depending on interests and gifts.
Potential opportunities for dental ministry could include volunteer work in local health clinics, training of local dentists, equipping a vehicle for use as a mobile dentistry clinic, establishment of a stationary Christian dental clinic, working alongside medical professionals in medical/dental evangelism outreaches to outlying communities, or any combination of the above.
