If you are a trained librarian wanting a unique experience, this is for you! A librarian is urgently needed for Lima Evangelical Seminary, an interdenominational residential seminary located in Peru's capital city.
This position requires a commitment to prepare national church leaders to meet the needs of the Peruvian church and to address the theological reality of Peru and Latin America. It would involve developing a SIM project to acquire theological resources--books, journals, internet access, etc.--as well as fundraising, purchasing materials, tracking importation logistics, and implementing the library. You would also be responsible for further expanding the library as a key resource from 9000 volumes to 25,000 volumes.
In addition, because SIM Peru is in partnership with the church, you would be actively involved in a leadership role in a local church.
