Dental Assistant or Dental Hygienist

The Hope Dental Clinic is a mobile clinic that brings low-cost dental care to those without access. It partners with AIDIA (The Interdenominational Association for the Holistic Development of the Apurimac--a Peruvian Christian organization overseeing Bible translation as well as holistic development of the Apurimac region) to advance the gospel and strengthen struggling churches in remote Quechua villages.

If you would like to use your training as a dental assistant or dental hygienist in ministry, you may be interested in participating on monthly dental trips to Quechua villages near Abancay. Trips are usually two to five days in length and are done in conjunction with AIDIA. Also, you would have the opportunity of assisting in hygiene at Diospi Suyana Hospital in nearby Curahuasi (one and a half hour trip) two days a week, three weeks a month. When in Abancay, you would also help with office work at AIDIA.
