Education

If you’re passionate about education, there are opportunities to work with children and students, building relationships which open the way to share the gospel.

Children in classTeaching English as a Second Language is a great way to put a heart for evangelism into action and impact lives for God as you share your story with your students.

SIM teachers provide education for missionary and expatriate families, as well as children from the local community, in many parts of the world where education is at a premium.

SIM is committed to education in many areas, both formal and informal, children and adults, individuals and communities. Partnering with the local church in their education programmes is a priority for SIM.

We not only provide teachers, we also provide trainers to develop the talents and skills of other teachers who carry out local ministries.

Although SIM does much theological education, we are also committed to a variety of fields such as literacy, occupational training, public health, HIV and AIDS awareness, community development, teaching English as a second language, and much more.

We sense that all education requires the presence of the Holy Spirit to empower and inform the learning process in ways that bring lasting change.

SIM also provides excellent, Christ-centred education for the children of SIM personnel. Our schools serve missionary children as well as the children of diplomats and other foreign and national workers. Through these schools, SIM influences the local community.

In many countries, religious education is a required subject in schools, so SIM is often allowed to provide teachers of the Bible for government schools.

If you are a teacher, trainer, curriculum writer, or instructor of any kind and you're interested in using your skills cross-culturally, then we would love to talk to you. Each year we need new teachers for all levels in our schools, as well as consultants and trainers for many of our ministries.
