UK Ministry Director

We are looking for a UK Ministry Director who can make a huge difference to the way we operate and strengthen UK churches in diaspora mission and multi-cultural team ministry, in support of our wider mission.

This is an exciting opportunity for a mission-focused leader with a collaborative drive to enable church-centred ministry placements for gospel workers received from overseas.

The UK Ministry Director (UKMD) will serve to enable effective ministry placements for gospel workers with churches and the strategic development of multi-cultural ministry towards accomplishing Serving In Mission’s purpose, mission and vision

The ideal candidate will be a person of prayer, who is an action-orientated pastor-teacher, with excellent people management skills and inter-cultural ministry acumen.

He/she will be a team builder who has experience in scaling up a network of volunteers and the ability to prioritise the effective delivery of programmes and projects to budget in a flexible and mission-focused environment. Significant experience in cross-cultural gospel ministry, connected with a local church or churches, is essential.

There is an Occupational Requirement that the post-holder is a Christian in agreement with Serving In Mission's Statement of Faith, who holds to and lives out Biblical truth.

SIM UK is a community of God’s people committed to Biblical truth and convinced that no one should live and die without hearing the gospel. We therefore believe God has called us to speak Christ’s message and show Christ’s love and compassion in communities where Jesus is least known.

(Please note: Serving In Mission UK is currently based in Suffolk, but we are in the process of setting up offices in Cambridge and London and therefore will be moving out of our Suffolk office in April, 2019)
