What is the Christian view of children, especially girls? What rights do they have?

How do I bury my mother in the Christian way without upsetting my ancestors?

What if a man becomes a Christian and he has four wives? Does he divorce three of them, or continue to care for each one and their children? Can this man become an elder in the church?

Such issues and more face the rapidly growing church in Asia, Africa and South America. SIM believes that developing the minds of local Christians will help the Church to navigate issues that arise from its unique cultural context.

Scholars also help describe what God is calling the Church to be and do in light of the truth of the Bible.

Theological education is not only for seminary students or pastors; it is also for lay leaders, health workers, and anyone who desires to be a true disciple of Christ.

SIM is concerned about excellent indigenous Christian scholarship for all people--especially those for whom we've helped to plant a church.

If you have skills as a teacher, librarian, school administrator, discipler or consultant, we can use you to play a vital part in strengthening the Church cross-culturally.

We would love to talk with you about possible placement in one of our theological institutions or theological education by extention (TEE) learning programmes.
