The goal of ELWA is to proclaim the Gospel through Radio via FM and shortwave radio. The FM transmitter reaches out to the greater Monrovia area and adjoining towns. The shortwave transmitter reaches most of Liberia and into Guinea and parts of Côte d’Ivoire.
Presently ELWA (Eternal Love Winning Africa) Radio broadcasts 126 hours per week. The station airs a total of 30 programmes and of these 25% are sponsored programmes while 75% are without sponsorship. Of those that are sponsored, some of the contributions come from overseas donors but a substantial part comes from local church congregations eager to support the ministry of ELWA Radio, even when their funds are very low. The portion of the radio ministry at ELWA that is not sponsored is supported by the other activities that ELWA is involved in such as the hospital and ELWA Academy and any other income generating activities that ELWA can engage in. This puts a large burden on ELWA ministries as a whole. Former major supporters like Back to the Bible, Hour of Decision, Encounter and other good Bible teaching programmes has been discontinued due to their own financial constraints.
The goal for funding the programmes is to reach churches in Monrovia and the interior of Liberia to seek their support but there is also a need for external support if ELWA Radio is going to be able to broadcast quality, Bible based programmes, into the future.

“Thank you for your radio programme. We are very poor but I thank the Lord for providing us with a radio to listen to your programmes regularly. My sons-in-law drink too much and hence my daughters suffer. Your messages helped my daughters cope with their situations. Please pray that they may grow in the Lord and help their husbands find Christ.”
Moses Nyante, the ELWA Media Services Director and his team are a dedicated group of broadcasters who wish to see the opportunity to present the gospel to Liberians furthered, and through this ministry see the local Liberian church strengthened with good Bible teaching.
