Prayers Answered for Namibia Pastors' Book Sets!
12 January 2012

In mid-December 2011, the bookseller offered to let SIM ship the final book (1400 copies) and pay later. The manager for the Namibia Pastors’ Book Set project, Calvin Brain, did not want to owe money, and so he graciously declined. However, a week after the bookseller's generous offer, a friend and advocate of the Pastors’ Book Set work approached Calvin saying that he and wife had decided to cover whatever expenses were still unpaid by 10 April 2012.
Under these conditions, Calvin accepted the unpaid-for book. (If no other funds had come in, this couple would have had to cover £7,750.) SIM accepted the shipment of books on 6 January. The following day, 25 people helped load the book sets onto the shipping container and on Monday 9 January, the container was delivered to the U.S. port of Baltimore. The Pastors’ Book Sets are on their way!
Shipping container of pastors' books was painted by a graffiti artist who attends one of the partnering churches. God gave His confirmation when someone who had not yet given to the project handed Calvin a cheque for £2,600!
Work is now underway with the Evangelical Bible Church and other church partners organising the conferences in April.
