ECWA Hospital Egbe, founded in 1952 by SIM, is a rural teaching hospital serving a large population in Kogi State, Nigeria. ECWA Hospital Egbe is a 121-bed, multi-service facility run by a staff of 69 medical professionals. The hospital complex is situated on approximately 33 acres of land and is comprised of 68 buildings including:
•Two operating theatres
•Maternity ward
•Under 5's clinic
•Eye centre
•HIV/Aids clinic
•Laboratory, pharmacy and X-ray facilities
•Nursing School
•Midwifery School
•Outreach clinics
The hospital has a significant impact on the physical and spiritual well-being of the region. Today, many of the ECWA churches were established by people who met Christ at Egbe Hospital. Over the years, hundreds of lives have been saved both physically and spiritually.
After almost 60 years of ministry, it is time for revitalization! The upgrades will include the buildings, electricity (including enerators and solar power), water supply, medical equipment, laboratory, pharmacy, surgical and out patient services and Internet and communication services.
