AIDS prevention book to help churches

Dr. Tim Teusink teaches future church leaders and advises producers of radio broadcasts seeking to halt the advance of HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia.

Finding few written resources in the Amharic language, he and his assistant, Getachew, are leading a team translating AIDS is Real and it’s in Our Church.

The book was written in Nigeria by C. Jean Gorland and Dr. Mike Blyth. The translators are adapting the stories, names, data and illustrations for the Ethiopian context.

It will be included in the SIM-Ethiopia Pastors Book Set library project in 2006, and will also be available in bookshops.
