Join our nomad truck adventure through central Asia in 2018

You could be part of an eye-opening truck adventure across central Asia this summer to learn more about nomadic people.

Our Nomad Truck Venture is a five-week trip put together by the Nomadic Peoples Network (nomadicpeoples.net) and will cover more than 3,100 miles.

Travelling in a purpose-built truck, you’ll cross central Asia in the company of experienced workers and learn more about how to reach nomadic people with the gospel.

If you have a gospel heart and are an adventurer, a back-packer, an entrepreneur or love camping then this could be the defining trip of your life.

And even if you’re already working among nomads in a different part of the world, you’ll learn so much by joining this adventure.

Nomads across the world have far more in common with each other than they do with people living in settled communities. The Nomad Truck Venture aims to equip the next generation of workers to think about ways of reaching these people and the principles will be applicable across the world.

Do you have what it takes for this kind of communal experience? What will God have in store for you? Join us during the summer of 2018 to find out.

Where will the trip go?

We will be going through several countries of Central Asia on a journey of around 3,100 miles, camping and occasionally staying in hostels.

Who will be running it?

A well-established company with extensive knowledge of the route. The trip may require letters of invitation, visas, camping and food locations, permits, etc and the company will deal with all the necessary logistics.
The Nomadic Peoples Network will have experienced practitioners on board who will explain nomadic life and cross-cultural realities along the route. This is key in all the countries in Central Asia.

When is the trip?

The trip dates are July 6-August 15 or a shorter option which finishes on July 30.

How much does it cost?

The approximate cost is £2,800 for the full trip, around £2,000 for the shorter option, including airfares to and from the start and finish of the trip, visas, vaccinations and insurance.

Who can go?

The trip is open to individuals and couples, but not children. The likely age range is 21-40, but younger and older people who feel especially called to take the gospel to hard-to-reach groups will not be excluded.
