Theological education and rural development

SIM Madagascar sees, by faith, the communities around Mandritsara and Manhatsara reached with the healing love of Jesus Christ through compassionate healthcare, quality education, theological training and church planting.

MadaLocal church leaders do not usually have any training. Experienced Bible teachers who learn Malagasy and other local languages are needed to help disciple and equip them to lead their churches faithfully. A rural Bible school provides opportunity several times a year for these pastors to gather and learn together.

There are many communities surrounding the Timothy Centre who have no opportunity to hear the Good News. Through community health ministries, like medical or dental clinics, physiotherapy and providing access to clean drinking water, workers build relationships with local people and share the love and hope of Jesus Christ.

Engineering or agricultural projects help the villages, often destroyed by cyclones, to rebuild and fight poverty and hopelessness.

There are opportunities to work on this ministry through the "Send" pathway.
