Medical Student Elective

Have you ever thought of doing your medical residency cross-culturally? Here is a great opportunity!
The Evangelical Medical Center of Lubango (CEML) is owned and operated by the Alliance of Evangelicals in Angola (AEA) and has various international partners. CEML provides much needed health care to the people of southwestern Angola at the hospital located in Lubango and is developing a network of rural health posts as well. Our goal is to train health team members, prevent illness where possible, and preach in word and deed the Gospel of Jesus Christ in such a way that a credible testimony of God is given.
You would participate in outpatient consultations, ward visits, and surgeries under the supervision of a missionary doctor. Your level of training and competency in Portuguese will determine your activities to a certain extent. While most of the rotation occurs at CEML, there may be opportunities to visit Rio da Huila or other rural works. Or you may choose to focus your time at the Rio da Huila clinic or travel to rural areas with our physician.
