Water Engineers for Safe Drinking Water in Rebuilding South Sudan: Church and Nation

Do you have any training or experience in water development? Here is an opportunity for you to work alongside field missionaries, community people, and church leaders, educating them in practical installations for clean water and maintenance of water systems (chemical treatment, borehole repair, maintenance, etc.).
In the process, you would disciple the workers in the water project so they can grow in their knowledge of Jesus and strengthen their walk with Him. You could coordinate with the local pastors to help with evangelism.

SIM Doro Clinic, South Sudan

Serving In Mission's Doro Clinic in South Sudan is providing health care to a community in great need.

As well as providing for the physical health of their patients, their clinic chaplain supports them spiritually. Otherwise known as The Grieve Memorial Clinic (in memory of a former SIM mission worker) is also a place of training and equipping South Sudanese nationals with medical skills.

South Sudan

The governments of North and South Sudan are yet to resolve the tense issues of border demarcation, the nationality of those serving in the military as well as governance of the different areas. There are almost no hospitals or schools in all of South Sudan, which holds a population of more than 12 million people. Vast areas of fertile lands lie uncultivated with beautiful towns, villages, schools, hospitals and churches are in ruins. SIM’s main ministry in South Sudan is to work in the rebuilding of the church and the nation.
