Want to get involved in gospel outreach to students?

Want to get involved in gospel outreach to students?

We've got a fantastic mission internship opportunity in South Africa or Thailand for anyone interested in reaching out to international university students with the gospel.

You'll have the chance to share your love for Jesus Christ with students and staff at a university..

The placement, which could start in the autumn, is part of our Immerse internship programme, which is aimed at giving people in their 20s a real insight into the life of a mission worker.

The programme can run for either one or two years and starts with a month-long intensive training session at our Suffolk headquarters, where you'll be given a fantastic grounding in the fundamentals of mission.

After completing support-raising, you will head out to our placement, where you will work alongside an experienced mission worker and be mentored throughout the placement.

As you get involved in friendship evangelism and discipleship, you could be leading one-to-one or group bible studies; helping train local Christian students to reach out to those around them; or running a hospitality scheme to connect young people with local church families.

What kind of Immerse person are we looking for?

The key is that you have a real gospel heart and long to share the good news with others through discipleship, through the way you live your life and through honest conversations.

You will be educated to degree level and ideally have some experience of international student ministry, through involvement at your own university. You will also be a fluent English speaker and keen to learn and grow in your own faith and ministry skills.

If this sounds like you - or you know someone who might be interested - click here to find out more about Immerse or email rachel@sim.co.uk

If you are a more experienced international student worker - or no longer in your 20s - then we would also love to hear from you. We have lots of other placements for those with more experience!
